Maddie

Well mixed emotions from Maddie today we tried riding in spurs for canter work for the first time, as trying to get her forward with  a schooling whip just wasn't working for her, there was no doubt in my mind she wouldn't protest at least a little bit and that was of course the case. To be honest I think her balance is a main factor in her canter work, because she slipped once and went to throw a paddy and the second I gave the rein and encouraged her to go forward and cantered beautifully around the hole school. 

But to end our schooling session we finally successfully catered the hole school on both reins on the right lead. 

There is defvo nothing you can make this mare do, it's always ask and ask again, qnd wheb she feels comfortable she may try that little bit more for you.
