Tammy
Tammy has been a jem lately so decided to take her for a hack on the long lines, went into a nice big field for the first time to see how she would react and the answer is not very well. Poor thing got so nervous and worked up she couldent walk and kept wanting to run back to the gate, when I tried to stop her she ended up rearing full height.
So tried double lining to see if I could settle her but she just ran around daft and sweated up, so calmly removed the lines and lend her around inhand instead which she seemed happy to do, she was like my little shadow. She was that on edge and alert she wouldn't even put her head down for fresh grass, so considering how worked up she got I wasent 100% sure how getting on her back at home would go, but she just stood there let me straight on and was totally relaxed.
So think we are going to concentrate on fields for a little while maybe go out in company next time.
